We have a number of excellent and beautiful golf courses nearby.
Flamingos Golf
It is the nearest course and very beautiful with a lot of wildlife. We frequently play there. It is an 11-minute, inexpensive taxi or Indrive ride away. The course rents clubs and has a superb & reasonably priced dining pavilion. Flamingos also offers a very good golf rate after 3 pm when the temperature is comfortable.

Vista Vallarta Golf Club
We often play in its weekly Saturday skins tournament that is open to all. They offer a great rate for this event only – otherwise it is quite expensive. While a 45-minute drive away, both the Nicklaus and Weiskopf courses are truly world-class and spectacular. The free practice areas for players are excellent.

Marina Vallarta Golf Club
It is a challenging and well-designed course that we also often play. It offers a relatively reasonable afternoon rate and an excellent complimentary practice facility if you play a round.

Higuera Golf Course (Punta de Mita)
About a 35-minute drive away, this Greg Norman–designed course is quite expensive but truly a great golf experience. Unique perks include free tacos & drinks on two holes. After golf, you can visit the nearby Conrad Hotel (often with live music but you must phone ahead to get in) or enjoy one of Punta de Mita’s many restaurants.

Other Courses (20–30 minute drive)
El Tigre Golf & Country Club (Nuevo Vallarta): It is a nice course but it is challenging to get a tee time except in the late afternoon. Phone then at +52 322 226 8190 as far as possible ahead (one month would be best) to try to get a somewhat reasonably priced 3:00 pm tee time.
Vidanta Golf (Nuevo Vallarta): features the Vallarta Course (host of the PGA Mexican Open several times), the less expensive Nayar Course, and a beautiful 10-hole par 3 course called The Lakes. Afternoon play here can often last for hours since no one is checking on how many times you play it.
