The La Cruz Marina is the heart of this charming fishing village, blending local tradition with modern nautical life. It is only a 15 to 20 minute beach walk away. Every morning, fishermen bring in their fresh catch to the lively fish market, where you can find everything from tuna and mahi-mahi to shrimp and snapper. The marina itself is also a beautiful spot to stroll, with boats of all sizes, ocean views, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere that captures the spirit of Riviera Nayarit.
The highlight of the week in La Cruz is on Sunday when the entire breakwater for the marina becomes a huge artisan & food market & a music event at its amphitheater. It is truly a world class market. We try to visit it every Sunday morning and have brunch there.
At the same time, there is another market in the main square of La Cruz which is also worth visiting. However, it is not of the same exceedingly high quality as the market on the breakwater.
